My venue already has an in-house wedding coordinator. Why do I need a planner?

Your venue coordinator most likely has many clients upcoming events she is coordinating at the same time. Most onsite venue coordinators are aren't able to devote the time and attention necessary to attend to the details of your wedding. The bottom line: A wedding coordinator at a venue and a wedding planner are two completely different jobs. The venue wedding coordinator is there to serve the venue. A planner is completely focused on you and dedicated to your wedding vision, and she is there solely to make sure that you vision comes to life on your wedding day.

I can plan my own wedding or event. 

For many couples, it is their very first time planning a wedding. Weddings are not what they were 5 even 10 years ago. Planners are no longer considered a luxury but a necessity. There are complex logistical matters such as the timing of events, catering contracts, parking situations, and knowing which vendors are reputable. We are here to guide you and to take care of all of these concerns. Even if you only desire "Day of Coordination" the earlier you book your planner the earlier you will receive guidance and the better chance mistakes won't be made.  We are able to help save you time and money as well as your sanity so you can actually enjoy your day!

But my mom/friend/insert name of wonderful person here said they could help me. 

Something to consider.. if your family and friends are helping you, are they part of the celebration or part of your vendors? There is a term for that... friendor". It's word in the industry that is frowned upon. They will ignore their duties and want to hit the dance floor and the bar. The won't know the answers to your vendors questions and will not be able to properly organize your day. They can actually make it worse than not having  a coordinator at all. You have planned and planned, and have budgeted a lot of hard earned money to turn over the reins to an ametuer, let a professional manage your day. We are great at anticipating your needs, your vendors needs, and very importantly can troubleshoot in a matter of seconds. That's why you hire a planner with EXPERIENCE. The best gift you could give yourself is peace of mind and leave all your worries behind.

How much communication will we have? 

There is no limit on email or phone communication. You can email, call or text as much & as often as you need. It is our policy to respond to all messages with in 24 business hours. Our goal is to ensure you are always in the loop, feeling heard & feeling confident throughout the entire process.

Will you eat, drink & dance during the reception? How comfortable will you make yourself?

Since weddings tend to be at least a 12 hour day, vendor meals during the reception are appreciated. However, we are there to do a job, therefore we will absolutley not be drinking any alcohol nor will we join your guests on the dance floor!

Will you work with vendors I’ve already found or people I really want to work with?

 Of course. As long as they are a legitimate business or professional and can provide proof of liability insurance, we are happy to work with them.
